Pastry Course - Saturday 6th October 2018
I am delighted to be able to offer the pastry course again. I haven't done this on for ages as it's quite intense, but after a couple of requests, I'm running it again. It's on Saturday - ideal for those who have passion for cooking but also have work during the week. We will make bread, choux pastry, sweet crust and puff from scratch. We will eat the bread that I make and use the sweet crust that I make as the base of a Tarte Tatin. We will make cheese straws out of my puff pastry and we will make profiteroles and eclairs out of the choux. We may even make some cheese puffs - yum! The only way of learning how to make pastry is to do it yourself so this is a course where you'll get your hands dirty - and the versions of each (except the choux) that attendees make they will take home with them - i.e. bread, puff pastry and sweet pastry. We need a good 4 hours to get through the course,. Provisional timings for this are 1-5pm, but will be confirmed with all attendees.. £60 per person.
9th October - Vegan with a difference (gluten free)
In keeping with the growing trend for veganism, but without the worthiness, I have a lovely set of recipes that tick all the boxes - they're easy, tasty, interesting and animal-product free - if you want to add some, extra protein with a few prawns or a salmon fillet or two, that's completely up to you, We're talking tofu, edamame, glass noodles, thai curry, puy lentils. Delicious. £60 per person
17th October - Raw food (gluten free)
Another really big trend in the kitchen at the moment, this is high on style and flavour whilst distinctly low on effort - and washing up. We'll make tiraditos and ceviches, salsas and tartares as well as a totally wonderful granita. £60 per head

THE MASHED AND SMASHED POP UP DINNER
This year's pop up dinner will be on November 9th at All Saints House, Bute Avenue, TW10 7AX. This has always been a sell-out occasion - dinner in the most amazing house in Richmond (or Surrey, come to that). I haven't set the menu or the price yet, but seats are being booked ....
